Self-proclaimed "Youth Representative of Japan," they’ve captured attention with their powerful dance performances and live shows, where every piece of choreography is created by the members themselves. Debuting globally in 2021 under 88rising, a label that promotes Asian culture worldwide, their track "Otona Blue" went viral on TikTok, amassing over 3.3 billion views and 15 million+ followers across social media. In 2023, they performed at NHK’s Kouhaku Uta Gassen, and in 2024, they headlined the Gobi Stage at Coachella for two consecutive weeks. Additionally, they successfully completed a world tour, drawing a total of 110,000 fans across 26 cities worldwide and 7 cities in Japan, continuing to make waves both domestically and internationally.
From 2014, he started posting songs on the internet. In 2023, he released “Where Our Blue Is”, the opening theme for the TV anime “Jyujutsu Kaisen, and participated in the 74th Kohaku Uta Gassen on NHK (Red and White Singing Contest). In May 2024, to mark 10 years since he first posted his music on the Internet, he held celebrate concert at the Budokan, and the tickets were sold out on the day they went on sale. In the same year, as a special unit “GEMN” with Kento Nakajima, and they sang the opening theme for the TV anime “[Oshi No Ko]”. In addition to performing under his own name, he has provided songs to numerous artists and continues to be active across genres.
The group debuted as Keyakizaka46 in April 2016 and renamed themselves to Sakurazaka46 in October 2020. In June 2024, they held their second Tokyo Dome concert, attracting 110,000 fans. They similarly attracted a record number of fans at ZOZO Marine Stadium. In November 2024, they became the first Japanese idol group to perform on the main Harbourflap Stage at Hong Kong's largest music festival, Clockenflap Music & Art Festival 2024.
